P4-REQ-21-7-007
Statement
Cross-plane implementation relationships SHALL preserve the distinct architectural purpose of each Runtime Plane involved.
Source
Part 4, Section 21.7: Runtime Plane Realization Requirements.
Rationale
Phase 0 implementation interactions may involve more than one Runtime Plane, but shared implementation mechanisms must not erase the architectural distinctions among those concerns.
Preserving each Runtime Plane's purpose allows cross-plane interactions to remain understandable, traceable, governable, and reviewable.
Applies To
This requirement applies to:
-
cross-plane DDS exchanges;
-
shared implementation participants;
-
cross-plane logging and exception handling;
-
audit and provenance relationships;
-
policy and release relationships; and
-
cross-plane implementation mappings.
Verification
Verification SHALL confirm that cross-plane implementation relationships preserve the distinct purpose of every Runtime Plane involved.
Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:
-
each Runtime Plane role remains identifiable;
-
shared implementation mechanisms do not merge architectural meaning;
-
mappings identify all applicable Runtime Planes;
-
governance and traceability remain plane-aware; and
-
cross-plane behavior is documented where applicable.
Traceability
This requirement preserves separation of concerns across Phase 0 Runtime Plane implementation relationships.
