Cross-plane implementation relationships SHALL preserve the distinct architectural purpose of each Runtime Plane involved.

===== Rationale =====

Phase 0 implementation interactions may involve more than one Runtime Plane, but shared implementation mechanisms must not erase the architectural distinctions among those concerns.

Preserving each Runtime Plane's purpose allows cross-plane interactions to remain understandable, traceable, governable, and reviewable.

===== Applies To =====

This requirement applies to:

  * cross-plane DDS exchanges;
  * shared implementation participants;
  * cross-plane logging and exception handling;
  * audit and provenance relationships;
  * policy and release relationships; and
  * cross-plane implementation mappings.

===== Verification =====

Verification SHALL confirm that cross-plane implementation relationships preserve the distinct purpose of every Runtime Plane involved.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

  * each Runtime Plane role remains identifiable;
  * shared implementation mechanisms do not merge architectural meaning;
  * mappings identify all applicable Runtime Planes;
  * governance and traceability remain plane-aware; and
  * cross-plane behavior is documented where applicable.
