P4-REQ-21-7-004

The Phase 0 Implementation Profile / PSM SHALL define Health and Observability Plane realization for Node status, lifecycle state, warning, degradation, failure, recovery, and operational condition reporting.

Part 4, Section 21.7: Runtime Plane Realization Requirements.

The Health and Observability Plane provides the implementation information needed to understand operational condition and lifecycle behavior.

Defining this realization ensures that Phase 0 participants expose sufficient status, warning, degradation, failure, and recovery information for later observation, testability, troubleshooting, and evidence planning.

This requirement applies to:

  • Node status reporting;
  • lifecycle-state reporting;
  • warning and degradation reporting;
  • failure and recovery reporting;
  • operational condition reporting; and
  • applicable logging and status Topics.

Verification SHALL confirm that the Phase 0 Implementation Profile / PSM defines a Health and Observability Plane realization.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

  • Node status is reportable;
  • lifecycle changes are observable;
  • warnings and degradation are reportable;
  • failures and recovery are reportable; and
  • Health and Observability concerns remain distinct from other Runtime Plane concerns.

This requirement establishes the Phase 0 realization of the FX Logical Health and Observability Plane.
