P4-REQ-21-3-006

The Phase 0 Implementation Profile / PSM SHALL identify Python as the selected Phase 0 hand-authored implementation language.

Part 4, Section 21.3: Technology Selection Requirements.

Identifying Python as the selected hand-authored implementation language establishes a consistent development context for Phase 0 source modules, helpers, adapters, processing logic, and other approved hand-authored implementation artefacts.

A defined implementation language also allows the Developer Handbook to establish consistent coding, logging, exception-handling, dependency, and review conventions.

This requirement applies to:

  • Phase 0 hand-authored source code;
  • implementation node modules;
  • supporting modules;
  • wrappers and adapters; and
  • applicable Developer Handbook coding conventions.

Verification SHALL confirm that Python is identified as the selected Phase 0 hand-authored implementation language.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

  • governed hand-authored Phase 0 implementation code uses Python where applicable;
  • Python source files follow the Developer Handbook;
  • generated artefacts remain distinguishable from hand-authored Python code; and
  • alternative implementation languages are not introduced into the Phase 0 baseline without approved change control.

This requirement establishes the selected implementation-language context for Phase 0 hand-authored implementation artefacts.
