P4-REQ-21-4-008

Each implementation node artefact SHALL report or record observable behaviour according to the Phase 0 logging and exception-handling baseline.

Part 4, Section 21.4: Logical Node Mapping Requirements.

Observable implementation behavior is necessary for troubleshooting, review, operational understanding, testability, and later evidence planning.

Applying the Phase 0 logging and exception-handling baseline ensures that implementation node artefacts expose important lifecycle, processing, warning, failure, and recovery conditions consistently.

This requirement applies to:

  • implementation node artefacts;
  • logging behavior;
  • exception handling;
  • health and status reporting; and
  • applicable audit and provenance behavior.

Verification SHALL confirm that implementation node artefacts report or record observable behavior according to the Phase 0 baseline.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

  • required lifecycle and processing outcomes are recorded;
  • warnings and failures are not silently suppressed;
  • exception handling follows the approved pattern;
  • recovery conditions are reportable where applicable; and
  • observable information supports later Part 5 use.

This requirement connects implementation node execution behavior to the Phase 0 logging, exception-handling, observation, and later evidence-planning concerns.
