P4-REQ-21-5-003

Each DDS Topic mapping SHALL identify the FX logical information structure carried by the endpoint.

Part 4, Section 21.5: Communication Endpoint Mapping Requirements.

A communication mapping must identify the logical information structure being exchanged so that the meaning of the transported information remains traceable to the FX Demo Logical Profile.

This prevents implementation data representations from becoming detached from their logical definitions.

This requirement applies to:

  • DDS Topic mappings;
  • FX logical information structures;
  • Communication Endpoint mappings; and
  • implementation data mappings.

Verification SHALL confirm that each DDS Topic mapping identifies the FX logical information structure carried by the endpoint.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

  • the logical information structure is explicitly identified;
  • the structure agrees with the applicable Communication Endpoint;
  • the implementation representation remains traceable to the logical structure; and
  • conflicting logical structures are not assigned to the same mapping without governance.

This requirement connects Phase 0 communication mappings to the FX logical information structures defined in Part 3.
