P4-REQ-21-11-010

The Developer Handbook SHALL define script usage requirements.

Part 4, Section 21.11: Developer Handbook Requirements.

Scripts can generate artifacts, alter repository state, start or stop implementation participants, and affect traceability.

Defined usage requirements ensure that scripts are used as controlled implementation helpers and do not become ungoverned mechanisms for modifying the Phase 0 baseline.

This requirement applies to:

  • generation scripts;
  • build-preparation scripts;
  • startup and shutdown scripts;
  • cleanup scripts;
  • workflow scripts; and
  • contributors using approved scripts.

Verification SHALL confirm that the Developer Handbook defines script usage requirements.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

  • approved script purposes are identified;
  • required inputs and expected outputs are addressed;
  • prerequisites are addressed;
  • logging and error-handling expectations are addressed; and
  • baseline-affecting script use is governed.

This requirement establishes the contributor rules governing controlled use of Phase 0 scripts.
