P4-REQ-21-15-012

The Part 5 handoff SHALL identify implementation traceability relationships.

Part 4, Section 21.15: Part 5 Handoff Requirements.

Part 5 must preserve the architectural justification for the implementation artifacts it deploys, tests, observes, operates, and evidences.

Including implementation traceability relationships in the handoff allows Part 5 evidence and operational records to remain connected to the FX logical and implementation sources defined by Parts 3 and 4.

This requirement applies to:

  • Node implementation traceability;
  • Topic implementation traceability;
  • IDL and generated type traceability;
  • Runtime Plane implementation traceability;
  • script and repository traceability; and
  • Developer Handbook traceability.

Verification SHALL confirm that the Part 5 handoff identifies applicable implementation traceability relationships.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

  • forward traceability remains available;
  • backward traceability remains available;
  • implementation artifacts retain their logical or implementation sources; and
  • Part 5 can preserve these relationships in later deployment and evidence records.

This requirement carries the Part 4 Implementation Traceability Model into Part 5.
