P4-REQ-21-14-001
Statement
The Phase 0 Implementation Profile / PSM SHALL define an Implementation Traceability Model.
Source
Part 4, Section 21.14: Implementation Traceability Requirements.
Rationale
An Implementation Traceability Model provides the controlled relationships needed to connect Phase 0 implementation artifacts to their architectural and logical sources.
The model enables reviewers to follow implementation decisions across the conceptual, logical, FX logical, and implementation layers without allowing implementation mappings to redefine those source layers.
Applies To
This requirement applies to:
-
Phase 0 implementation artifacts;
-
implementation mappings;
-
DDS Topics;
-
IDL structures and generated types;
-
Runtime Plane realizations;
-
scripts and repository artifacts; and
-
Developer Handbook rules.
Verification
Verification SHALL confirm that the Phase 0 Implementation Profile / PSM defines an Implementation Traceability Model.
Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:
-
implementation traceability relationships are explicitly defined;
-
forward and backward review are supported;
-
major implementation artifact categories are covered; and
-
traceability remains consistent with Parts 1, 2, and 3.
Traceability
This requirement establishes the traceability framework for the Phase 0 implementation baseline.
