P4-REQ-21-14-003

Implementation traceability SHALL support forward review from FX logical elements to Phase 0 implementation artifacts.

Part 4, Section 21.14: Implementation Traceability Requirements.

Forward traceability allows reviewers to begin with an FX logical element and determine how that element is realized within the Phase 0 implementation baseline.

This supports completeness review by making it possible to identify the implementation artifacts, mappings, configuration, and supporting concerns associated with selected FX logical elements.

This requirement applies to:

  • FX logical Nodes and Node Roles;
  • Communication Endpoints;
  • information structures;
  • Runtime Planes;
  • interaction patterns; and
  • their Phase 0 implementation realizations.

Verification SHALL confirm that forward review from FX logical elements to Phase 0 implementation artifacts is supported.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

  • selected FX logical elements have identifiable implementation mappings;
  • mapped implementation artifacts can be located;
  • relevant supporting artifacts can be identified; and
  • missing implementation mappings can be detected.

This requirement establishes forward traceability from the Part 3 FX Demo Logical Profile into the Part 4 implementation baseline.
