P4-REQ-21-15-006

The Part 5 handoff SHALL identify Runtime Plane realization.

Part 4, Section 21.15: Part 5 Handoff Requirements.

Part 5 must preserve the Runtime Plane distinctions implemented by Part 4 when deploying, observing, operating, testing, and evidencing Phase 0 behavior.

Including Runtime Plane realization in the handoff prevents Part 5 activities from collapsing Control, Data, Health and Observability, Policy and Release, or Audit and Provenance concerns.

This requirement applies to:

  • Control Plane realization;
  • Data Plane realization;
  • Health and Observability Plane realization;
  • Policy and Release Plane realization;
  • Audit and Provenance Plane realization; and
  • applicable cross-plane relationships.

Verification SHALL confirm that the Part 5 handoff identifies the Runtime Plane realization defined by Part 4.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

  • applicable Runtime Planes are identified;
  • implementation mechanisms supporting each plane are identifiable;
  • cross-plane relationships remain explicit; and
  • Part 5 can preserve separation of concerns during execution.

This requirement carries the Part 4 Runtime Plane implementation mappings into Part 5.
