The Part 5 handoff SHALL identify Developer Handbook requirements.

Part 4, Section 21.15: Part 5 Handoff Requirements.

The implementation artifacts used by Part 5 are produced under the development discipline defined by the Phase 0 Developer Handbook.

Including applicable handbook requirements in the handoff allows Part 5 reviewers to understand the conventions governing source artifacts, generated artifacts, scripts, logging, exception handling, traceability, and repository workflow.

This requirement applies to:

  • Developer Handbook requirements;
  • Phase 0 implementation artifacts;
  • scripts;
  • logging and exception-handling conventions;
  • repository workflow; and
  • review expectations.

Verification SHALL confirm that the Part 5 handoff identifies the Developer Handbook requirements applicable to the handed-off artifacts.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

  • applicable handbook rules are identifiable;
  • artifact-governance expectations are available;
  • logging and exception-handling rules are available where applicable; and
  • Part 5 does not replace or redefine handbook requirements.

This requirement carries the Part 4 development-discipline requirements into the Part 5 handoff.
