The Part 5 handoff SHALL identify IDL and generated type mappings.

Part 4, Section 21.15: Part 5 Handoff Requirements.

Part 5 requires the implementation data representations defined by Part 4 in order to exercise and observe the selected Phase 0 communication flows.

Including IDL and generated type mappings preserves the relationship between logical information structures and their runtime representations.

This requirement applies to:

• governed IDL structures;
• generated types;
• source IDL files;
• DDS Topic data mappings; and
• producing and consuming implementation participants.

Verification SHALL confirm that the Part 5 handoff identifies the applicable IDL and generated type mappings.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

• applicable IDL structures are identified;
• generated types are identified;
• source definitions remain traceable; and
• Topic and participant relationships are identifiable.

This requirement carries the Part 4 information-structure implementation mappings into Part 5.
