Statement
Each approved script SHALL identify its expected outputs.

Rationale
Expected outputs define the observable results produced by a script and allow contributors to determine whether the script completed its intended task.
Output identification also supports repeatability, review, cleanup, and distinction between governed outputs and temporary material.
Applies To
This requirement applies to:

approved scripts;

generated outputs;
-
build outputs;
-
logs and reports; and
-
repository modifications produced by scripts.
Verification
Verification SHALL confirm that each approved script identifies its expected outputs.
Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

expected files or artifacts are documented;
-
expected logs or reports are identified;
-
repository changes are identified where applicable; and
-
unexpected outputs do not silently enter the baseline.
Traceability
This requirement establishes the output expectations associated with approved Phase 0 scripts.
