P4-REQ-21-14-009
Statement
Script and repository traceability SHALL relate scripts and repository locations to implementation concerns.
Source
Part 4, Section 21.14: Implementation Traceability Requirements.
Rationale
Scripts and repository locations frequently support implementation activity without directly realizing an FX logical element.
Relating these artifacts to implementation concerns explains why they exist, what baseline activity they support, and how they fit within the governed Phase 0 implementation environment.
Applies To
This requirement applies to:
-
approved scripts;
-
repository directories;
-
source locations;
-
generated-artifact locations;
-
configuration locations;
-
build-output locations; and
-
other governed repository locations.
Verification
Verification SHALL confirm that scripts and governed repository locations are traceable to applicable implementation concerns.
Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:
-
approved scripts identify their implementation purpose;
-
governed repository locations identify the concerns they support;
-
supporting artifacts can be traced backward to their purpose; and
-
unexplained scripts or governed locations can be detected.
Traceability
This requirement establishes traceability for implementation-support artifacts that do not necessarily map directly to FX logical elements.
