P4-REQ-21-10-002

The repository model SHALL identify locations for hand-authored source files, IDL files, generated code, configuration files, scripts, documentation, traceability artifacts, build artifacts, and non-baseline material.

Part 4, Section 21.10: Repository and Build Artifact Requirements.

Explicit repository locations prevent different artifact categories from being mixed in ways that obscure governance, generation status, review expectations, or traceability.

Defined locations also support repeatable contributor workflows and allow reviewers to determine where authoritative, generated, temporary, and supporting materials belong.

This requirement applies to:

  • hand-authored source locations;
  • IDL source locations;
  • generated-code locations;
  • configuration and script locations;
  • documentation and traceability locations;
  • build-output locations; and
  • non-baseline material.

Verification SHALL confirm that the repository model identifies locations for all required Phase 0 artifact categories.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

  • source-file locations are defined;
  • generated-code locations are defined;
  • configuration, script, and documentation locations are defined;
  • traceability and build artifact locations are defined; and
  • non-baseline material can be distinguished from baseline locations.

This requirement connects each Phase 0 artifact category to an explicit repository location.
