P2-REQ-16-9-004

Logical Node Traceability SHALL relate a Logical Node to its identities, roles, responsibilities, endpoints, interactions, Runtime Planes, governance relationships, and Evidence expectations.

Part 2, Section 16.9: Logical Traceability Requirements.

Logical Node Traceability establishes the architectural relationships that describe the complete context of each Logical Node. Capturing these relationships supports governance, review, compatibility assessment, impact analysis, and evidence planning throughout the architecture lifecycle.

This requirement applies to Logical Node Traceability.

It applies specifically to:

  • Logical Nodes;
  • Logical Node identities;
  • Logical Node roles;
  • Logical Communication Endpoints;
  • Logical Runtime Planes; and
  • Governance relationships.

Verification SHALL confirm that Logical Node Traceability relates each Logical Node to its identities, roles, responsibilities, endpoints, interactions, Runtime Planes, governance relationships, and Evidence expectations.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

  • node relationships are explicitly identified;
  • responsibilities and interactions are traceable;
  • governance relationships are represented; and
  • Evidence expectations are preserved.

This requirement supports traceability between Logical Nodes and the architectural relationships that define their role within the Logical Architecture.
