P4-REQ-21-6-012

Generated types SHALL NOT redefine IDL structures or FX logical information structures.

Part 4, Section 21.6: Information Structure Mapping Requirements.

Generated types are derived implementation artifacts produced from governed IDL structures. They are not independent sources of data-definition or logical meaning.

Preventing generated types from redefining either their IDL sources or FX logical information structures preserves the governed derivation chain and supports repeatable generation.

This requirement applies to:

  • generated types;
  • governed IDL structures;
  • generated-code locations;
  • implementation modules using generated types; and
  • FX logical information structures.

Verification SHALL confirm that generated types do not redefine their source IDL structures or applicable FX logical information structures.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

  • generated types remain derived from governed IDL;
  • generated files are not treated as authoritative source definitions;
  • manual modification is prohibited unless explicitly governed;
  • regenerated outputs remain consistent with their source definitions; and
  • logical meaning remains governed by Part 3.

This requirement preserves the derivation hierarchy from FX logical information structure to IDL structure to generated Phase 0 type.
