P4-REQ-21-2-004
Statement
The Phase 0 Implementation Profile / PSM SHALL NOT redefine Part 1 conceptual elements, Part 2 logical elements, or Part 3 FX logical profile elements.
Source
Part 4, Section 21.2: Phase 0 Profile Requirements.
Rationale
Part 4 realises architectural elements defined by preceding parts. Allowing implementation decisions to redefine those elements would collapse the separation between conceptual, logical, FX logical, and implementation concerns.
This constraint preserves the authority of Parts 1, 2, and 3 over their respective architectural definitions.
Applies To
This requirement applies to:
-
Phase 0 implementation mappings;
-
implementation artefacts;
-
implementation technologies;
-
implementation conventions; and
-
implementation governance decisions.
Verification
Verification SHALL confirm that the Phase 0 Implementation Profile / PSM does not redefine elements governed by Parts 1, 2, or 3.
Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:
-
implementation mappings realise rather than redefine logical elements;
-
implementation technology choices do not alter logical meaning;
-
implementation conventions remain subordinate to the applicable architectural definitions; and
-
changes to conceptual or logical meaning are governed in the applicable preceding part rather than introduced through Part 4.
Traceability
This requirement preserves the separation of architectural layers and maintains the authority of Parts 1, 2, and 3 over their defined elements.
