P3-REQ-17-6-004
Statement
Each FX logical information structure SHALL preserve traceability to Data Structure Definition, Data Structure Instance, Evidence, Traceability, or other applicable Part 1 concepts.
Source
Part 3, Section 17.6: FX Logical Information Requirements.
Rationale
Preserving traceability to the applicable Part 1 concepts ensures that every FX logical information structure maintains a direct relationship to the conceptual architectural elements from which it is derived. This supports architectural governance, impact analysis, conformance assessment, evidence generation, and long-term maintainability while preserving consistency across the layered architecture.
Maintaining conceptual traceability enables reviewers to understand how domain-specific logical information structures evolve from the conceptual information model established by the Reference Architecture.
Applies To
This requirement applies to every FX logical information structure defined by the FX Demo Logical Profile.
It applies specifically to:
-
information structure traceability;
-
architectural governance;
-
logical information architecture reviews;
-
conformance assessments; and
-
architectural maintenance.
Verification
Verification SHALL confirm that each FX logical information structure preserves traceability to the applicable Part 1 architectural concepts.
Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:
-
traceability relationships are documented;
-
originating Part 1 concepts are identified;
-
traceability remains complete throughout the profile; and
-
traceability is maintained during architectural evolution.
Traceability
This requirement supports end-to-end architectural traceability from the Part 1 Conceptual Architecture through the Part 2 Logical Architecture to the FX Demo Logical Profile.
