P3-REQ-17-10-008
Statement
FX Logical Policy Constraints SHALL define platform-independent restrictions, conditions, obligations, or decision criteria governing FX logical interaction or FX information movement.
Source
Part 3, Section 17.10: FX Logical Governance Requirements.
Rationale
Logical policy constraints establish the architectural rules that govern how FX information may be exchanged, processed, interpreted, or released. By defining restrictions, conditions, obligations, and decision criteria independently of implementation technologies, the FX Demo Logical Profile preserves platform independence while ensuring consistent governance across logical interactions and information movement.
Maintaining policy constraints at the logical architecture level enables different Implementation Profiles to realize equivalent governance behaviour using different policy engines, security technologies, or operational procedures.
Applies To
This requirement applies to all logical policy constraints defined by the FX Demo Logical Profile.
It applies specifically to:
-
logical policy governance;
-
logical interaction governance;
-
information movement;
-
architectural governance; and
-
derived Implementation Profiles.
Verification
Verification SHALL confirm that logical policy constraints define the platform-independent conditions governing FX logical interaction and FX information movement.
Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:
-
restrictions, conditions, obligations, and decision criteria are identified;
-
policy constraints remain platform independent;
-
policy constraints govern logical interactions and information movement; and
-
implementation-specific policy technologies are not prescribed.
Traceability
This requirement establishes logical policy governance within the FX Logical Governance Model.
