P3-REQ-17-7-005

The Logical Health and Observability Plane SHALL support observation of FX logical Node operational condition and behaviour.

Part 3, Section 17.7: FX Runtime Plane Requirements.

The Logical Health and Observability Plane provides the architectural capability for observing the operational condition and behaviour of FX logical Nodes. It supports logical monitoring, operational visibility, status reporting, and health assessment while remaining independent of implementation technologies, monitoring tools, or deployment environments.

Maintaining observability as a distinct Runtime Plane preserves separation of concerns and enables operational assessment without coupling monitoring responsibilities to business information exchange or operational control mechanisms.

This requirement applies to the Logical Health and Observability Plane defined by the FX Demo Logical Profile.

It applies specifically to:

  • logical observability;
  • operational monitoring;
  • Runtime Plane architecture;
  • architectural governance; and
  • derived Implementation Profiles.

Verification SHALL confirm that the Logical Health and Observability Plane supports observation of FX logical Node operational condition and behaviour.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

  • operational condition can be observed;
  • operational behaviour can be observed;
  • observability responsibilities remain distinct from other Runtime Plane responsibilities; and
  • implementation technologies are not prescribed.

This requirement defines the architectural responsibility of the Logical Health and Observability Plane within the FX Runtime Plane model.
