15.8 Logging Convention Requirements

Go To Phase 0 Developer Handbook Requirements

The Developer Handbook must define logging conventions for Phase 0 implementation artifacts.

Logging conventions must identify:

  1. Required log fields
  2. Node or participant identity fields
  3. Runtime Plane context where applicable
  4. Correlation identifiers
  5. Timestamps
  6. Lifecycle-state events
  7. Processing outcomes
  8. Warnings
  9. Degraded operation
  10. Failures
  11. Recovery attempts
  12. Command handling
  13. Publication and subscription failures
  14. Validation or processing failures
  15. Relationship to audit and provenance records where applicable

Logging supports Health and Observability when it describes operational condition. Logging supports Audit and Provenance when it preserves information needed for review, replay, reconstruction, or Evidence planning. Logging supports Control Plane behavior when it records commands, acknowledgments, retries, recovery, or operational coordination.
