The Financial Systems Classification applies the Archetype Classification Model to financial structured-information systems.

Section 5 defines the general classification hierarchy shown in Figure 5.5-1 and identifies the financial Classification Path shown there. This section explains the financial meaning of that Classification Path by defining the Finance Ecosphere, the Monetary Ecosystem, and the Foreign Exchange Domain.

The Financial Systems Archetype uses this Classification Path to establish the business and Semantic scope inherited by later logical profiles, implementation profiles, deployment profiles, and Evidence plans.
