P4-REQ-21-14-007

IDL and generated type traceability SHALL relate FX logical information structures to IDL structures and generated types.

Part 4, Section 21.14: Implementation Traceability Requirements.

IDL structures and generated types provide Phase 0 implementation representations of FX logical information structures.

Explicit traceability preserves the chain from logical information meaning through its governed IDL definition to the generated implementation-language representation used by Phase 0 participants.

This requirement applies to:

  • FX logical information structures;
  • IDL structures;
  • generated types;
  • source IDL files; and
  • generation relationships.

Verification SHALL confirm that IDL and generated type traceability relates FX logical information structures to their Phase 0 representations.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

  • IDL structures identify their FX logical information sources;
  • generated types identify their source IDL structures;
  • the complete logical-to-IDL-to-generated-type chain is reviewable; and
  • generated types remain traceable after regeneration.

This requirement establishes implementation traceability for Phase 0 information-structure realizations.
