Implementation governance SHALL define implementation compatibility.

Rationale
Phase 0 implementation artifacts must work together without loss of logical meaning, communication compatibility, generated-type compatibility, QoS compatibility, traceability, or reviewability.
Defined compatibility rules allow incompatible changes to be detected and reviewed before they enter the implementation baseline.

This requirement applies to:

DDS Topic mappings;

publishers and subscribers;

IDL structures and generated types;
-
QoS profiles;
-
configuration artifacts; and
-
implementation modules.
Verification
Verification SHALL confirm that implementation governance defines implementation compatibility.
Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

communication compatibility is addressed;
-
data-representation compatibility is addressed;
-
QoS compatibility is addressed;
-
version relationships are considered; and
-
incompatible artifacts require review before baseline acceptance.
Traceability
