P4-REQ-21-13-003

Implementation governance SHALL define implementation versioning.

Part 4, Section 21.13: Implementation Governance Requirements.

Implementation versioning allows reviewers to determine which versions of source files, generated artifacts, mappings, configuration, scripts, and handbook rules belong to a particular Phase 0 baseline.

Versioning also supports compatibility review among DDS Topics, IDL structures, generated types, QoS profiles, and implementation participants.

This requirement applies to:

  • source files;
  • IDL structures and generated types;
  • DDS Topic mappings;
  • QoS profiles;
  • configuration artifacts; and
  • scripts and handbook revisions.

Verification SHALL confirm that implementation governance defines implementation versioning.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

  • governed artifact versions are identifiable;
  • baseline versions can be determined;
  • version relationships among dependent artifacts are reviewable; and
  • version changes follow implementation governance.

This requirement establishes version control for artifacts belonging to the Phase 0 implementation baseline.
