P4-REQ-21-12-010

Phase 0 SHALL include a controlled type-generation script or equivalent controlled procedure when generated types form part of the implementation baseline.

Part 4, Section 21.12: Script and Execution Requirements.

Generated types must be reproducible from governed IDL definitions when they are included in the Phase 0 baseline.

A controlled type-generation procedure preserves repeatability, source-to-output traceability, regeneration discipline, and separation between generated and hand-authored files.

This requirement applies to:

  • governed IDL definitions;
  • generated types;
  • type-generation scripts;
  • generated-code locations; and
  • generation metadata.

Verification SHALL confirm that a controlled type-generation script or equivalent procedure exists when generated types are part of the Phase 0 implementation baseline.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

  • governed IDL sources are used;
  • generated outputs are written to approved locations;
  • the generation process is repeatable;
  • generated files are identifiable as generated; and
  • regeneration follows Developer Handbook rules.

This requirement connects governed IDL definitions to their generated Phase 0 implementation types through a controlled generation process.
