P3-REQ-17-8-004
Statement
FX Contract State Transitions SHALL identify prior state, target state, triggering information, responsible FX logical Node or Node Role, applicable rule or interpretation context, timestamp, and provenance reference.
Source
Part 3, Section 17.8: FX Lifecycle Requirements.
Rationale
FX Contract State Transitions define how contract state changes throughout the logical lifecycle. Identifying the prior state, target state, triggering information, responsible architectural elements, governing context, timestamps, and provenance references ensures that every logical transition is understandable, traceable, auditable, and reproducible without prescribing any implementation technology or execution mechanism.
Capturing these transition characteristics supports architectural governance, lifecycle consistency, replay, reconstruction, and evidence generation while preserving platform independence.
Applies To
This requirement applies to every FX Contract State Transition defined by the FX Demo Logical Profile.
It applies specifically to:
-
contract lifecycle modeling;
-
state transition definitions;
-
architectural governance;
-
lifecycle traceability; and
-
derived Implementation Profiles.
Verification
Verification SHALL confirm that every FX Contract State Transition identifies all required transition characteristics.
Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:
-
prior and target states are identified;
-
triggering information is identified;
-
the responsible FX logical Node or Node Role is identified;
-
applicable rule or interpretation context is identified;
-
timestamps are identified; and
-
provenance references are identified.
Traceability
This requirement establishes the logical contract transition model used throughout the FX Demo Logical Profile.
