P3-REQ-17-8-005
Statement
Validation-controlled transitions SHALL depend on FX Validation Results.
Source
Part 3, Section 17.8: FX Lifecycle Requirements.
Rationale
Validation-controlled transitions ensure that transaction information progresses through the lifecycle only after the required logical validation activities have been completed. Depending upon FX Validation Results preserves architectural consistency by ensuring that lifecycle progression is governed by explicit logical outcomes rather than implementation-specific behaviour or processing assumptions.
This separation also supports traceability, auditability, and consistent lifecycle behaviour across different Implementation Profiles.
Applies To
This requirement applies to every validation-controlled transition defined by the FX Demo Logical Profile.
It applies specifically to:
-
validation-controlled lifecycle transitions;
-
logical transaction processing;
-
lifecycle governance;
-
architectural reviews; and
-
derived Implementation Profiles.
Verification
Verification SHALL confirm that every validation-controlled transition depends upon the appropriate FX Validation Result.
Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:
-
validation-controlled transitions are identified;
-
corresponding FX Validation Results are identified;
-
lifecycle progression depends upon logical validation outcomes; and
-
implementation-specific validation mechanisms are not prescribed.
Traceability
This requirement establishes the dependency between lifecycle progression and FX Validation Results within the logical lifecycle model.
