P2-REQ-16-9-010

Logical Traceability SHALL support forward review from the conceptual concern to the logical model.

Part 2, Section 16.9: Logical Traceability Requirements.

Forward traceability allows reviewers to follow the refinement of conceptual concerns into the Logical Architecture. This capability demonstrates that every logical element is grounded in a conceptual purpose, supporting architectural validation, governance, and impact analysis.

This requirement applies to the Logical Traceability Model.

It applies specifically to:

  • Conceptual concerns;
  • Logical elements;
  • Architectural reviews; and
  • Governance activities.

Verification SHALL confirm that Logical Traceability supports forward review from conceptual concerns to logical elements.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

  • conceptual sources are identified;
  • logical elements trace to conceptual concerns;
  • forward navigation is possible; and
  • conceptual intent is preserved.

This requirement supports traceability from the Part 1 Conceptual Architecture to the Part 2 Logical Architecture.
