P2-REQ-16-7-004
Statement
Each Logical Interaction Pattern SHALL identify the Logical Communication Endpoints involved.
Source
Part 2, Section 16.7: Logical Interaction Requirements.
Rationale
Logical Interaction Patterns describe communication among Logical Nodes through Logical Communication Endpoints. Explicitly identifying the participating endpoints preserves architectural clarity, enables interoperability, supports governance, and maintains traceability independently of implementation technologies.
Applies To
This requirement applies to all Logical Interaction Patterns.
It applies specifically to:
-
Logical Interaction Patterns;
-
Logical Communication Endpoints;
-
Logical Communication relationships; and
-
Logical Nodes.
Verification
Verification SHALL confirm that each Logical Interaction Pattern identifies the Logical Communication Endpoints involved.
Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:
-
Logical Communication Endpoints are explicitly identified;
-
endpoints correspond to the participating Logical Nodes;
-
endpoint usage supports the defined interaction; and
-
implementation technologies do not redefine Logical Communication Endpoints.
Traceability
This requirement supports traceability between Logical Interaction Patterns, Logical Communication Endpoints, and Logical Nodes.
