P2-REQ-16-7-001
Statement
The Logical Architecture / PIM SHALL define reusable Logical Interaction Patterns.
Source
Part 2, Section 16.7: Logical Interaction Requirements.
Rationale
Logical Interaction Patterns define recurring forms of communication and collaboration among Logical Nodes. Establishing reusable patterns promotes architectural consistency, simplifies review, improves interoperability, and enables Domain Logical Profiles to build upon a common set of logical interactions without redefining them.
Applies To
This requirement applies to the Logical Interaction Model.
It applies specifically to:
-
Logical Interaction Patterns;
-
Logical Nodes;
-
Logical Communication Endpoints; and
-
Domain Logical Profiles.
Verification
Verification SHALL confirm that the Logical Architecture / PIM defines reusable Logical Interaction Patterns.
Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:
-
Logical Interaction Patterns are explicitly defined;
-
patterns are reusable across the Logical Architecture;
-
interaction patterns remain platform independent; and
-
Domain Logical Profiles inherit and specialize the defined patterns without redefining them.
Traceability
This requirement supports traceability between Logical Interaction Patterns, Logical Nodes, Logical Communication Endpoints, and Domain Logical Profiles.
