A Logical Architecture / PIM element SHALL trace to the conceptual element it specializes, refines, constrains, or relates.

Logical Architecture and PIM elements refine conceptual architecture without redefining conceptual meaning. Traceability to the related conceptual element preserves the relationship between conceptual intent and logical structure.

This requirement supports review of logical models against the Conceptual Architecture and prevents logical elements from becoming unanchored design material.

This requirement applies to Logical Architecture and PIM elements that specialize, refine, constrain, or relate to conceptual elements.

It applies specifically to:

• Logical Architecture elements
• PIM elements
• Conceptual-to-logical trace links
• Logical refinement
• Logical constraints

Verification SHALL confirm that each Logical Architecture / PIM element traces to the conceptual element it specializes, refines, constrains, or relates.

Verification activities include review checks confirming that:

• Logical elements identify their related conceptual elements
• PIM elements identify their related conceptual elements
• Logical refinement does not redefine conceptual meaning
• Trace links support review from the conceptual element to the logical element
