Conformance Point
Discussion
A Conformance Point is an objectively identifiable location at which an evaluator inspects or evaluates whether an identified subject satisfies an applicable Requirement and therefore achieves Conformance.
A Conformance Point supports repeatable evaluation by linking a Requirement to an observable architectural location, Artifact, behaviour, interface, boundary, or Evidence source.
A Conformance Point forms part of a Conformance Model.
A Conformance Point differs from a design feature. A design feature describes a characteristic of an implementation. A Conformance Point identifies where an evaluator performs or observes an assessment.
Definition
objectively identifiable location at which conformance with a specified requirement is inspected or evaluated

Note
A Conformance Point provides a stable location for evaluating Conformance.
A Conformance Point identifies where an evaluation occurs.
A Conformance Criterion identifies the assessable condition used during that evaluation.
Example
An Attachment Point at which a Structured Information Artifact enters a governed processing service is a Conformance Point when the applicable Reference Architecture requires validation before acceptance.
