An Operational Lifecycle State identifies the condition of an operational subject at a particular point within an Operational Lifecycle.

The governing Operational Lifecycle defines:

• The permitted Operational Lifecycle States
• The events associated with state transitions
• The permitted transitions between Operational Lifecycle States
• The conditions that govern each transition

An Operational Lifecycle State represents one state within the Operational Lifecycle of an operational subject.
