A Conformance Assessment is the activity of evaluating an identified subject against applicable Requirements, Conformance Criteria, and Conformance Points to determine whether the subject achieves Conformance.
A Conformance Assessment collects and evaluates Evidence in accordance with an applicable Conformance Model.

Note
A Conformance Assessment differs from a Conformance Claim.
A Conformance Claim records what is asserted.
A Conformance Assessment evaluates whether the assertion is supported by Evidence.
Example
An assessor evaluates a DIDO-TE implementation against the applicable Requirements and records the resulting Conformance determination.
