ENV-002d — Provision Required Test Resources

The DIDO-TE SHALL provision each Test Resource required by a Test Environment before Test Execution.

• [DTE6] Structured Information Processing Reference Architecture (SIP-RA)
• [DTE7] Federated Data Interpretation Systems Reference Architecture (FDIS-RA)

Provisioning each required Test Resource establishes the supporting capabilities, services, data, equipment, software, credentials, or facilities required by a Test Environment.

Provisioning the required Test Resources before Test Execution prevents unavailable, incorrect, or uncontrolled resources from affecting execution or the resulting Test Results.

Establishing correspondence between each specified Test Resource and its provisioned instance supports Traceability, Reproducibility, and assessment of resource-related differences between Test Executions.

Verification confirms that:

• The DIDO-TE provisions every Test Resource required by the Test Environment.
• Each provisioned Test Resource corresponds to a Test Resource identified by the controlled Test Environment information.
• Each provisioned Test Resource has the specified version, Baseline, Configuration, capacity, and availability.
• Each provisioned Test Resource resides on or remains accessible from the applicable Deployment Target.
• Each provisioned Test Resource enters its required initial state before Test Execution.
• The DIDO-TE maintains Traceability between each specified Test Resource and its provisioned instance.
• A missing, incorrect, unavailable, or untraceable Test Resource constitutes nonconformance with this requirement.

Verification includes:

• Inspection of the Test Resources specified for the Test Environment
• Inspection of each provisioned Test Resource
• Comparison of each provisioned Test Resource with its controlled definition
• Inspection of the version, Baseline, Configuration, capacity, availability, and initial state of each provisioned Test Resource
• Inspection of Traceability records connecting each specified Test Resource to its provisioned instance
• A negative assessment using a missing, incorrect, unavailable, or untraceable Test Resource
• Confirmation that the negative assessment produces a nonconformance result
