18.5 Topic Implementation Traceability

Topic implementation traceability relates an FX logical Communication Endpoint to the DDS Topic that realizes it.

A topic implementation trace must identify:

1. FX logical Communication Endpoint realized
2. DDS Topic name
3. FX logical information structure carried
4. IDL structure and generated type used
5. Producing implementation participant or Node Role
6. Consuming implementation participant or Node Role
7. Runtime Plane classification
8. QoS profile family
9. Configuration artifacts used
10. Version and compatibility expectations
11. Traceability record linking the DDS Topic back to Part 3

Topic implementation traceability protects the distinction between logical communication endpoints and DDS Topics. The DDS Topic realizes the endpoint; it does not redefine the endpoint.
