17.3 Implementation Versioning
Go To Phase 0 Implementation Governance
Phase 0 implementation versioning identifies the versions of implementation artifacts, generated artifacts, configuration artifacts, mappings, scripts, and handbook rules that belong to the Phase 0 implementation baseline.
Implementation versioning applies to:
-
Source files
-
IDL files
-
Generated types
-
DDS Topic mappings
-
QoS profiles
-
Configuration files
-
Scripts
-
Repository structure
-
Traceability records
-
Developer Handbook versions
-
Implementation profile revisions
Versioning must allow reviewers to determine which implementation artifact version realized which Part 3 FX logical element at a given point in the Phase 0 baseline.
Implementation versioning also supports compatibility review. A publisher, subscriber, IDL structure, generated type, DDS Topic, QoS profile, and consuming implementation module must align on compatible versions before the interaction can become part of the implementation baseline.
