P4-REQ-21-7-002

The Phase 0 Implementation Profile / PSM SHALL define Control Plane realization for operational coordination, commands, acknowledgments, registration, retry, recovery, and status-request interactions.

Part 4, Section 21.7: Runtime Plane Realization Requirements.

The Control Plane carries operational coordination responsibilities distinct from application data exchange and other runtime concerns.

Defining a Phase 0 Control Plane realization establishes how commands, acknowledgments, retries, recovery, registration, and related coordination interactions are implemented without altering their logical purpose.

This requirement applies to:

  • Control Plane DDS Topics;
  • command-producing participants;
  • command-consuming participants;
  • acknowledgments;
  • retry and recovery mechanisms; and
  • applicable QoS and logging conventions.

Verification SHALL confirm that the Phase 0 Implementation Profile / PSM defines a Control Plane realization for the specified operational coordination interactions.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

  • command exchanges are represented;
  • acknowledgments are represented;
  • retry and recovery interactions are represented;
  • registration and status-request interactions are supported where applicable; and
  • Control Plane behavior remains distinguishable from other Runtime Plane concerns.

This requirement establishes the Phase 0 realization of the FX Logical Control Plane.
