P3-REQ-17-9-004

Each FX logical interaction pattern SHALL identify the FX logical Communication Endpoints involved.

Part 3, Section 17.9: FX Logical Interaction Requirements.

Logical Communication Endpoints define the architectural points through which FX logical Nodes exchange information. Identifying the participating Communication Endpoints for every logical interaction clarifies architectural interfaces, supports interoperability, enables traceability, and preserves platform independence by separating logical communication concepts from implementation-specific protocols and technologies.

Maintaining explicit Communication Endpoint definitions also enables multiple Implementation Profiles to realize equivalent interactions using different communication mechanisms while preserving consistent architectural meaning.

This requirement applies to every FX logical interaction pattern defined by the FX Demo Logical Profile.

It applies specifically to:

  • logical communication;
  • Communication Endpoint definitions;
  • interaction architecture;
  • architectural governance; and
  • derived Implementation Profiles.

Verification SHALL confirm that every FX logical interaction pattern identifies the participating FX logical Communication Endpoints.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

  • Communication Endpoints are identified;
  • communication responsibilities are defined;
  • endpoint definitions remain platform independent; and
  • implementation-specific communication technologies are not prescribed.

This requirement establishes the logical communication interfaces for FX interaction patterns.
