P1-REQ-13-3-007

A later profile that introduces a new Ecosystem or Domain SHALL identify the parent classification, the reason for the new classification, and the relationship to existing classifications.

Part 1, Section 13.3: Classification Requirements.

Later profiles extend the classification model when they introduce new Ecosystems or Domains. Each extension needs a clear parent classification, a reason for the new classification, and a relationship to existing classifications.

This requirement supports classification governance, prevents unmanaged classification growth, and maintains traceability between new profile classifications and the Conceptual Architecture.

This requirement applies to later profiles that introduce a new Ecosystem or Domain.

It applies specifically to:

  • New Ecosystem classifications
  • New Domain classifications
  • Parent classification identification
  • Extension rationale
  • Relationships to existing classifications

Verification SHALL confirm that later profiles identify the parent classification, reason, and relationship for each new Ecosystem or Domain.

Verification activities include review checks confirming that:

  • Each new Ecosystem identifies its parent classification
  • Each new Domain identifies its parent classification
  • Each new classification includes a reason for introduction
  • Each new classification identifies its relationship to existing classifications
  • New classifications do not redefine inherited classification meaning
