P2-REQ-16-8-003

Logical Ownership of Definitions SHALL identify responsibility for defining, maintaining, approving, and reviewing logical definitions.

Part 2, Section 16.8: Logical Governance Requirements.

Clear ownership of logical definitions establishes accountability throughout the lifecycle of the Logical Architecture. Explicit ownership supports consistent maintenance, controlled evolution, governance reviews, and long-term stewardship of architectural definitions.

This requirement applies to Logical Ownership of Definitions.

It applies specifically to:

  • Logical definitions;
  • Logical Governance Model;
  • Definition owners; and
  • Governance reviews.

Verification SHALL confirm that Logical Ownership of Definitions identifies responsibility for defining, maintaining, approving, and reviewing logical definitions.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

  • ownership responsibilities are explicitly identified;
  • approval responsibilities are documented;
  • review responsibilities are assigned; and
  • ownership remains independent of implementation technologies.

This requirement supports traceability between logical definitions, governance responsibilities, and architectural ownership.
