ENV-001b — Identify Applicable Test Definitions

Go to ENV-001 — Define Test Environment

The DIDO-TE SHALL identify each Test Definition applicable to a Test Environment or record that no Test Definition applies and provide the basis for the determination.

Identifying the applicable Test Definitions establishes which testing activities a Test Environment supports.

The recorded relationship supports evaluation of whether the Test Environment contains the Test Objects, Nodes, Test Resources, and Configuration required by each applicable Test Definition.

An explicit determination that no Test Definition applies distinguishes an intentional condition from missing information.

Verification confirms that:

• Each Test Environment identifies every applicable Test Definition.
• Each identified Test Definition has an explicit relationship to the Test Environment.
• A Test Environment without an applicable Test Definition records that determination and its basis.
• A missing applicability determination constitutes nonconformance with this requirement.

Verification includes:

• Inspection of the controlled information for each Test Environment
• Inspection of the identified Test Definitions
• Inspection of recorded determinations that no Test Definition applies
• Inspection of the basis recorded for each such determination
• A negative assessment using a Test Environment without an identified Test Definition or a recorded determination
• Confirmation that the negative assessment produces a nonconformance result
