P1-REQ-13-3-003
Statement
Each Classification Path SHALL identify an Ecosphere, an Ecosystem, and a Domain when all three levels apply.
Source
Part 1, Section 13.3: Classification Requirements.
Rationale
A Classification Path provides meaning by identifying the classification levels that define scope. When all three levels apply, the path records the Ecosphere, Ecosystem, and Domain so that readers and later profiles understand the governed scope.
This requirement prevents incomplete or ambiguous classification when the full hierarchy applies.
Applies To
This requirement applies to Classification Paths defined or referenced by the Conceptual Architecture.
It applies specifically to:
-
Complete Classification Paths
-
Ecosphere identification
-
Ecosystem identification
-
Domain identification
-
Classification scope statements
Verification
Verification SHALL confirm that each Classification Path identifies an Ecosphere, an Ecosystem, and a Domain when all three levels apply.
Verification activities include review checks confirming that:
-
Complete Classification Paths include all applicable classification levels
-
Classification Paths omit a level only when the level does not apply
-
Classification Paths use governed classification terms
-
Classification Paths preserve the meaning of each classification level
