P4-REQ-21-2-008
Statement
A later implementation profile MAY extend, refine, supersede, or replace the Phase 0 Implementation Profile / PSM while preserving traceability to the applicable conceptual, logical, FX logical, implementation, and Developer Handbook artefacts.
Source
Part 4, Section 21.2: Phase 0 Profile Requirements.
Rationale
The FX Demo architecture must support controlled implementation evolution across development phases. Later profiles may require different or additional implementation capabilities while remaining connected to the architectural and implementation decisions from which they derive.
Preserving traceability during this evolution allows reviewers to identify what changed, what remained applicable, and how later implementation choices relate to earlier architectural and implementation baselines.
Applies To
This requirement applies to:
-
later implementation profiles derived from or succeeding Phase 0;
-
changes to implementation mappings;
-
superseded or replaced Phase 0 implementation artefacts;
-
Developer Handbook artefacts associated with implementation profiles; and
-
cross-phase traceability records.
Verification
Verification SHALL confirm that a later implementation profile that extends, refines, supersedes, or replaces Phase 0 preserves the applicable traceability relationships.
Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:
-
applicable conceptual sources remain identifiable;
-
applicable logical and FX logical sources remain identifiable;
-
changed or superseded implementation artefacts are traceable to their predecessors where applicable;
-
applicable Developer Handbook artefacts are identified; and
-
the relationship between the later profile and the Phase 0 baseline is documented.
Traceability
This requirement establishes continuity between the Phase 0 Implementation Profile / PSM and later implementation profiles while preserving the architectural traceability chain.
