P3-REQ-17-8-008
Statement
Policy and release state considerations SHALL identify the logical conditions that govern external release of FX information.
Source
Part 3, Section 17.8: FX Lifecycle Requirements.
Rationale
Not all FX information is suitable for external release at every point in the transaction lifecycle. Policy and release state considerations define the logical conditions under which information may be disclosed outside the FX processing environment while preserving governance, security, traceability, and policy compliance. These conditions are defined at the architectural level and remain independent of implementation-specific security products, access-control mechanisms, or deployment environments.
Maintaining explicit policy and release conditions supports consistent information governance across multiple Implementation Profiles while preserving platform independence.
Applies To
This requirement applies to every policy and release state consideration defined by the FX Demo Logical Profile.
It applies specifically to:
-
policy and release governance;
-
information lifecycle management;
-
logical information release;
-
architectural governance; and
-
derived Implementation Profiles.
Verification
Verification SHALL confirm that logical conditions governing external release of FX information are explicitly identified.
Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:
-
policy and release conditions are defined;
-
logical release criteria are identified;
-
external information release is governed by the lifecycle model; and
-
implementation-specific release mechanisms are not prescribed.
Traceability
This requirement establishes the logical governance of external information release within the FX lifecycle model.
