P3-REQ-17-5-001

The FX Demo Logical Profile SHALL define FX logical Communication Endpoints.

Part 3, Section 17.5: FX Logical Communication Requirements.

FX logical Communication Endpoints define the logical communication relationships that enable information exchange between FX logical Nodes and FX logical Node Roles. Defining these logical Communication Endpoints establishes the platform-independent communication architecture for the Foreign Exchange Domain while preserving the architectural principles established by Parts 1 and 2.

Without defined logical Communication Endpoints, the logical architecture would not consistently identify how information flows between logical Nodes, reducing interoperability, governance, traceability, and the ability to derive consistent Implementation Profiles.

This requirement applies to the definition, review, maintenance, interpretation, and evolution of the FX Demo Logical Profile.

It applies specifically to:

  • logical Communication Endpoint definitions;
  • logical architectural modeling;
  • communication architecture;
  • Domain Logical Profile development; and
  • Implementation Profiles derived from the FX Demo Logical Profile.

Verification SHALL confirm that the FX Demo Logical Profile explicitly defines FX logical Communication Endpoints.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

  • logical Communication Endpoints are identified;
  • logical Communication Endpoints define communication relationships between logical architectural elements;
  • logical Communication Endpoints remain platform independent; and
  • no conflicting logical communication architecture is defined.

This requirement establishes traceability between the Part 2 Logical Architecture and the logical Communication Endpoints defined by the FX Demo Logical Profile.
