Each FX logical Node Role SHALL preserve traceability to Node Role from Part 1.

Preserving traceability to the Part 1 Conceptual Architecture ensures that each FX logical Node Role maintains a clear relationship to the architectural concepts from which it is derived. This supports architectural governance, impact analysis, conformance assessment, and evidence generation while maintaining consistency throughout the layered architecture.

By preserving conceptual traceability, the FX Demo Logical Profile demonstrates how domain-specific logical responsibilities evolve from the conceptual responsibilities defined by the Reference Architecture.

This requirement applies to every FX logical Node Role defined by the FX Demo Logical Profile.

It applies specifically to:

• traceability mapping;
• architectural governance;
• logical architecture reviews;
• conformance assessments; and
• architectural maintenance.

Verification SHALL confirm that each FX logical Node Role preserves traceability to its originating Node Role defined by the Part 1 Conceptual Architecture.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

• traceability relationships are documented;
• originating Part 1 Node Roles are identified;
• traceability remains complete throughout the profile; and
• traceability is maintained during architectural evolution.

This requirement supports end-to-end architectural traceability from the Part 1 Conceptual Architecture through the Part 2 Logical Architecture to the FX Demo Logical Profile.
